Looks like shorters began covering their positions in November. Will be interesting to see the change for the last 2 weeks of December - I would expect it to be much higher based on the high trading volumes we have seen lately.

I would expect that some shorters will take some nice profits for the year, while those on the other side of the trade will be capturing the tax losses or simply fed up and gone for good. Since the share price will likely not increase much into January, I could also see some shorters waiting until then so they do not have to pay taxes on those juicy profits until the spring of 2015...

The shorters were clearly the big winners for 2013. My hat goes off to them. I have learned the hard way - yet once again to never ignore when the short count starts to climb as it did all year long with Lightstream.
