RE: Huge Competition

RE: Huge CompetitionMost (not all) of the competion you mentioned are not in the same markets. Teletrac is a fleet tracking system tower based triangulation Kenwood is an in car nav system no security AVL Info Systems is a manufacturer only no security service Chicago Map is a map data provider Mobile Trac is XST. manufacturer, mapping and monitoring service provider Gegyi Inc. has just launched its product don't know much about these guys Fugawi is a moving map data suppllier COPS seems to be a pager based non-realtime system, no monitoring service Highway Master high end fleet tracking device (lots of US customers) no security New NorthStar manufacturer only, no monitoring ATTI fleet management tools high cost, fleet management no security Traveleye records the data and allows later viewing only, no security There are others out there that do compete, but very few are actually providing a complete solution to both business and consumers. XST has products that provide security and fleet management and in my research seems to be the most advanced system of its type on the market. I like what XST does because of the markets they are going after. Most of the other companies (except Highway Master) seem to be trying to hit the big one with trucking companies. XST seems to be focused on the construction equipment market and small specialized security (Finning Canada) right now. The original targets I beleive were consumers, so I assume that the GPS tracker is priced accordingly and will fit in well with the lower budget requirements of Bobcat and Backhoe owners.
