RE The Research Continues....

RE The Research Continues....After some of your comments about FrontFour only listing their success stories I decided to resume my search for more of their company involvements. I tried this before and didn't find much. Today I did look into the FF Gencorp (NYSE:GY) connection. The co-founder of FF is David A Lorber and he has also been a director of Gencorp since 2006. Check the figures and charts and and tell me if you think FF involvement has hurt them. Other FF people list involvement with IAT Air Cargo which now falls under Huntingdon Capital so we know about that success story also. So far in the “interesting” department are Mr. Lorber and Jerry Meyer FF's Chief Operating Officer that were involved with Pirate Capital LLC & Thomas Richard Hudson. Mr Meyer as Director of Operations but he left back about 2006 along with some others (like Mr Lorber)to join/found FF. This according to businessweek.com There are a LOT of relationships between all the people and companies involved here and I'll be the first to admit I don't have the time to be exhaustive. I do however feel at this stage FF isn't hiding too many big things or they would come up in my searches! Thank you Weasel & mckenzie for your Canadian comments! That has been a concern of mine for some time particularly in regard to RPL's Canadian tax status. Does anyone know of any possible implications from FF being an US company? If the Canadian status of RPL is on the table with FF I'd like to know as that would be a deal breaker for me. Of course I suppose we don't even know if any of the parties accessing the RPL “data room” are representing companies from other countries. As an aside FF's representatives have now called me twice (4 days apart) to be sure I have their proxy and tell me RPL will also be calling but so far no calls from RPL at all! Maybe this lowly retail investor doesn't have enough votes....;)
