RE:RE:RE:RE:Being one of the lowest-cost gold producer was overrated?Thats the problem; Selinsing is not the jewel; it is a pissy little gold mine with 220 oz which at current mining rates will be exhausted in 4 years. I don't want more Selinsing; I want assets to replace the ones that have run out. Perhaps the recent reported strikes will add to reserves.
I too have reservations about re-opening the Australian mine that closed in a high cost area for good reasons - low gold price.
All miners are experiencing low share prices and some would not be able to attract a new board of directors because they are turkeys; no cash, maxed out by borrowing everywhere, etc. At least someone scents opportunity.
On the financing of Mengapur - copper has less priority than gold and perhaps as Mr. Baldock says, it can be financed in phases from the proceeds of initial sales of other by products - magnetite?
