The Company’s asset management business includes global investment strategies focused on real estate, private equity, infrastructure, life sciences, growth equity, credit, real assets, secondaries and hedge funds. It operates through four segments: Real Estate, Private Equity, Credit & Insurance and Multi-Asset Investing. Its Real Estate segment primarily comprises its management of opportunistic real estate funds, Core+ real estate funds, and real estate debt strategies. Its Credit & Insurance segment consists principally of Blackstone Credit & Insurance, which is organized into three overarching strategies: private corporate credit, liquid corporate credit and infrastructure and asset-based credit. Multi-Asset Investing is organized into two primary platforms: Absolute Return and Multi-Strategy. In addition, the segment also includes a publicly traded energy infrastructure, renewables and master limited partnership investment platform.

Yes, it is pretty quiet. But with their cancelled expansion plan costs mostly behind them and management's cost cost saving initiatives I am quite optimistic for 2014.
