What need to happen

What need to happen
With cash injection from the sale of the greenhouse, Raymond will need to be strategic in how he deployes the funds if he is at all serious about moving the company forward.

1)  Cut expenes significantly. Wages need to be low and frozen and administrative costs controlled.  Fiscal responsibility demands paying yourself less when the company is severely struggling.

2) Spend money on something that will ensure continuity of revenue to the company. If they are serious about longevity of the company they will need new investors or money from shareholders. This is not going to happen purely on the track record of the company because, there has been nothing good about it.

3) Have a long term goal in mind on what you are trying to achieve. For years Maple Leaf was about reforestation and trying to solve China's desertification problem. The problem has not gone away, but has actually worsened over the years. It seems that this is no longer the focus for the company, so what we trying to achieve.

4) Having your stock sucking wind at  1/2 to 1 cent is not only an embrassment, but only magnifies your failure as management. You are never going to attract investors with excuses. Build the company enough to justify a higher stock price and reap the benefits of access to investor funds. Not the other way round. Blame the market all you want, but the reality is that everyone knows that the reason why the company is in the current state is because of the blunders made by poor decisions and execution of management.

In short, Raymond and the rest of the board needs to be diligent in being responsible and focused in making this company viable.
