You're too busy trying to heap as much dung in front of the lens that you miss the salient details. Sure POSCO has dramatically shortened the dehydration process. But that only means for a given, small batch. Even if they can evaporate ten kgs in a matter of hours under lab conditions, I'd still be banking on their evaporation ponds holding twenty or so million kgs even if a few weeks in the sun are needed. It's like a little science experiment hardly useful on a big scale. Besides, having the dry salts is a long, long way from having battery-grade lico3. And, I hate to keep raising this point but brine carries pernicious other chemicals with it that are the devil to get rid of. Hard rock deposits are much simpler in chemical makeup and, therefore, easier to purify. Split.
