RE:RE:conference callIt sounded like WiLAN is spinning their wheels wrt Sony/Ericsson, LG and Apple. It appears those corporations have dug in their heels and WiLAN still has a long, uphill battle to reach any kind of settlement with them. JS didn't exude much confidence when discussing those cases during the CC. Aside from the Apple LTE trial scheduled for November, I have my doubts that any deals will be reached with any of the other outstanding cases this year.
The positives that I take away are the revenue & earnings growth, the Toshiba and Hon Hai settlements that have yet to be booked (in Q1), The significantly reduced litigation expenses going forward, the cost / risk-sharing with external law firms who handle their litigations, the semiconductor patents space initiatives, and the ongoing SR process that will hopefully lead to a positive outcome for investors (even though JS used it as an excuse for not increasing the dividend).
Overall the positives outweigh the negatives IMHO.
