There is clearly some sort of agreement between JGP and Discovery that for legal reason can't be stated.  This is the same reason that every statement of additionally acquired interest from JGP, Discovery, Itau or any other company contains the exact same language that this is for investment purposes only, there are no plans to change the management or the company, etc. This is all simply for legal reasons and we all know the reality often is different (e.g. Both JGP and Discovery wants control over HRT, but every time they add stocks the statement  contains the language that this is for investment purposes only, no changes to the company, etc). So yes, there is a deal.  But we won't know until it is long over :-). Personal guess is that Discovery will sell to JGP at an insane profit and JGP will take over HRT. Why? Tanure's style, Brazilian pride vs. those nasty American investment funds, Tanure's connections with the Brazilian government (who has requested he start an oil company, and for whatever reason  he has decided to start with HRT).  Should be some interesting months.
