Hey prince of fools...you should start subscribing to the Shawshank Investment Letter...if you inbox me here I will give you a 1% discount and set up an account for you.
My investments and entry points are alwys given-if your cheap follow the SS blog-it will help you
out in starting to find yourself finding investments ahead of the curve and early entry points instead of behind it and following...its must easier to lead with a clear view of the road ahead than it is to be at the tail-eating dust from others...which of you would be a habitual process.
My Investment Portfolio is as folllows and is on the Shawshank Blog with the exception of not being able to update as of yet the investment in KEEK.com at .18 and .205 per share with a first entry of 20,000 at that price followed by a purchase at .23 when insider buying was found to be strong...I am now up to 50,000 TSX. PIE shares as this reading.
You should check these boards out to clown...as I do not post regularly on blue chip established companies-vs the small cap space which are story driven vs earnings dervied.
CN Rail TSE CNR-three splits ago-now trading at around $58.00 per share pre 2:1 split a coupleof months ago...my entry point on a comparable basis would have been in the area of
$6.00 per share-I purchase an additional 35% shares for free as the company purchases an addtional 35% of the first 6% for an employee in the DPP.
Berkshire Hathaway...Baby B's since 1998-50:1 split a few years back...my original entry point as stated on that thread and subsequent purchases made after that would have my average price at $990 per share if I look at my book value and divide it by the amount of shares owned.
Put in the 50:1 split consideration and Berkshire is trading at $5500 per share in todays money...thank you Warren B and Charley M!
Rugged.com (since bought out a few years back) TSE RCM-in at $11.35...company bought out at $40 plus....I'm on that thread to.
Bauer Sports Performance TSE BAU-in post IPO entry at sub $5.85 per share...hit $15 a few weeks back-less than 3yrs hold...and yes I post on that thread occassionaly still.
Goldcorp...held for last 15yrs-my father and grandfather staked the original claims for where there present main shaft is...it was called Headway I and Headway II...not sure what my average price is cuz under McEwen before he left Goldcorp they made so much money and split so many times I lost count...I don't post on it cuz I am not a gold bug and don't post like some do including yourself..."to fake it to make it".
Power Corp-since 1999-by and large cuz of their large Wpg sub holdings...PowerCorp is the parent of Investors Grp and Great West Life-who's head offices are in Winnipeg where I live..its
diversified financial services company -and-I don't post on this one either...but its been a staple of the Portfolio for some time.
GSVC Capital GSVC NASDAQ-in at $6.00 and change last fall-bought it for the company stable it invests in and spins out-took Facebook and Twitter public or at least participated in it...as it owned them when they were private...I think I am even on that thread on stockhouse to...your the one stalking so go check it out.
I don't go much more diversified than that-as I agree with Buffet in that overdiversification is a fools way of trying to insure against not knowing what their doing and in Berkshire Hathaway and PowerCorp you get the equivalent of a mutual fund diversification anyways.-without a management fee of 2%!
I have recently established a position in Western Bank-no posts on that one-but maybe in the future...but only if you insist.
On the spec side it includes
Mood Media TSE MM at .46 per share of record on that thread.
TNG TSX Transgaming average cost .155 per share
MCC TSX Magor Corp- 255 -.285 per share entry
TSX SXE Strata Energy- .225 and .25 per share entry
ePals Corp TSX SLN at .045 and .05 per share (200,000 share position)
I lost money on YaleTown Capital (Freedom Bionics) YCC-TSX-but that story isn't over...I am in constant dialogue with their lead financer Coal Harbor-and it will re-emerge later this year and yes I was active in my criticism of Freedom Bionics CEO-cuz I call all stocks down the middle...the good (me)..the bad(you) and the ugly (SolarNutCase).
I may have missed one or two-but am in a hurry as I am taking my 14yr old to the Mall vs taking you to school on a thread...
