Northern Lights Ottawa 2014

Northern Lights Ottawa 2014Tom Peregoodoff - Executive VP Peregrine Diamonds, One hour Conference Session on Mining, sitting on panel

Good to see them so involved in our Territory. Tom is very well known around Iqaluit.

Also, there have been several diamond mining information seminars put on in Iqaluit to help inform the general public on the environmental impact one can expect from the development of a diamond mine.

There have also been training programs put on in the Territory to help build a labour force specifically for the mining industry. Overall, especially with Taptuna as Premier, the attitude is that the only way to move forward economical in both the short and term term is to smartly develope our natural resources. With the funds the government will gain from natural resource taxes they can build better infastructure and support for the various social problems plaguing our Territory.

A much better sentiment than Eva (our out-going Premier) who didn't have a clue how to develop our economy....work with what you got and we got a whole lot of land with stuff in it!
