RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:A heavily diluted infomercialOh evil meister- You are partly rIght. The pipeline south will only help the Americans. Our net back on oil shipped south is only about $45 a barrel. The Americans need this oil badly as the quality is very similar to that of the oil in the Texas gulf. The gulf basin is going dry and refinery capacity is sitting idle down there. Therefore we should be squeezing them but don't have the balls. What we really need is to get it to the Asian market via a pipeline to the coast where the net backs will be closer to $80 a barrel. As usual the dope smoking welfare hippies of B.C. are standing in the way. As for refining it, we certainly need more refinery capacity here at home and once again the tree hugging liberals are standing in the way, but in any case it is not cost effective to refine and then truck the final products around the globe. Transporting crude to the end user and have them refine makes much more sense economically.
As for our oil- You can call it dirty if you want but it is Conflict Free and Fair Trade. This is something the Neil Young types don't want to admit as they drive to work in the morning then turn up the thermostat. By the way- Did you know your beloved David Susuki takes a private jet when he films abroad and won't travel with his film crew? These are the hippocrits that these B.C. Welfare bums high on B.C. bud worship. No wonder they are a have not Province. Even the Newfies can out work them!
Have a great evening.
