Why on earth did MMY issue a statement last year that it "acquired the 30 percent of the Mengapur project that it did not already own...Monument now holds, through its subsidiaries, 100% of the Mengapur Project" but now has to cough up anther $8 million for the topsoils?
Baldock finally decided to tell shareholders what they needed to know last year: "Malaco, currently holds the rights to oxide magnetite material contained in top soil over-burden on the project, including areas A, B and C of the project." It sure doesn't sound like MMY owns 100% of the project to me.
It's yet another Baldock surprise at shareholders' expense. There's absolutely no telling what's next, and that's why I'm not touching this with a 10-ft pole until Baldock is reined in.
