My email to Jessica LargentDear Ms Largent
As someone who holds a significant amount of shares in Turquoise Hill, I wish to complain in the strongest possible terms about the truly disgraceful manner in which this stock has been apparently manipulated since Rio Tinto gained majority control. I and many others have lost money because of Rio’s apparent desire to destroy TRQ shareholder value. Rio’s treatment of TRQ is both shameful and disgusting, and most likely illegal. The time has come for this behaviour to stop. I will be making a formal written complaint to the SEC today outlining the deeply suspicious trdaing activities surrounding this stock. I am also in contact with a number of other shareholders, whom I am also encouraging to make separate complaints to the so called ‘independent’ directors of TRQ.
I do not for one moment believe that the blame for TRQ’s performance can laid conveniently at the door of the Mongolian government, despite the mainstream propaganda that constantly tells us as much. On the contrary, I believe it is Rio that has been deliberately stalling and bullying the Mongolians, presumably with the intention of driving the TRQ share price down. I do not blame the Mongolians for demanding that miners treat them with respect, instead of the customary arrogance to which they are usually subjected. Rio has not treated them with respect, and TRQ is paying the price.
I would ask you please to investigate the block trades that are currently being traded, and any other suspicious activity that may be causing the company to be oversold. In any case, I will be complaining to the SEC.
Yours sincerely
