In pursuing its investment objectives, the Fund seeks to achieve favorable after-tax returns for its shareholders by seeking to minimize the U.S. federal income tax consequences on income generated by the Fund. There can be no assurance that the Fund will achieve its investment objectives.

GTE ... lots of cash, no debt, would certainly be accretive to them at even a 50% premium.\
PXT ... publicly stated they were not considering acquiring because of the low SP.  This was back when it was about $5.50/sh.  May use their paper to continue growing.
PRE ... if they do lose the Rubiales field, you better believe they will be looking to buy production to replace the production lost.

I think it more likely PTA will be doing the acquiring, however.  Could take out PDQ, SNN, or simply farm in on a few nice properties with their cash, and on the cheap.
