RE:just had an idea....Shlinker - hahahahahah.

I think generosity will happen only if he rolls the rim and gets a free coffee.  And then we find the cup in the trash and rip the lid off ourselves.....

In all seriousness though, I too learnt a lesson for holding on so long.  I continued to risk my capital by averaging down many, many times - it happened to work out for me in the end, although it just as easily could have happened the other way.  Buy-and-hold on small/micro cap stocks, with only one stock, I now akin to sleeping with the devil.  And no I’m not talking about the wife.

I think of it this way - I've held RPL since the 4's, back to 2010.  Basically 4 years later, I got my original money back, plus a little bit.  I've lost years of compounding time and opportunity because it has been dead money for a long, long time.  The basic index ETF’s and blue-chip dividend payers that make up my ‘core portfolio’ have destroyed my RPL investment by several degrees of magnitude.  And it’s not just because we’ve had an overall bull market since 2010 I’m saying this, a stagnant market still would have yielded me my dividends, if the money was in those equities vs. RPL.
