The large shale players (APC,CHK,COP) have all stated that they won't divert capital away from oilier plays until nat gas is well above $5 and stays there for a long amount of time. The current nat gas storage is very bullish for ng as the big players won't change their game plan for a while. Also, what many don't realize is that a drilling program also requires a facility program to handle all the gas and NGLs. A typical gas processing facility for a major shale play is a 18-24 month item.
