RE:looking backat the time I ceratinly agree the failure of the potash russian potash cartel was of serious concern. 
the interesting thing that came out of the mess however was more attention to CAPEX and maybe more importantly opex . the breakdown and susequent lower price for potash took the shine off many expansions and green field projects.  I'm long AAA and I'm underwater (average sightly less than  $1), but I feel there is potential for AAA to rise past a buck, and even higher if the project moves forward to production. I'm not worried about it taking a few years, that's the risk one takes.
