Environmental permit processes, tailings dam expansion Environmental
With respect to ongoing environmental permit processes a status report is as follows:
San Francisco Project
• Change of use of land, authorized and valid until January 28, 2016.
• Statement of Environmental Impact, authorized by EPA (SEMARNAT). Expires Jan 25, 2023.
Tailings Dam
• Renewal requested for the Supporting Technical Study of Land Use Change: permit is extended until February 16, 2014. Land use change authorization process will start in early January 2014.
• The Preventive Study for the Construction and Expansion of Tailings Dam, Stage II. EPA (SEMARNAT) as approved and authorized and is now valid until March 11, 2023. At this time it is only necessary to provide notice to regulatory authorities on commencement of tailings dam construction activities.
