RE:no capital appreciation- EVER!!!Yitearp:
I hate to say this, but you seem to be experiencing some pretty strong/intense feelings of misery and disappointment in terms of your investment within Crescent Point Energy.
Whenever I have even just a fraction of such worry/misery about a company, I get the heck out!
I wouldn't want to hold a company that worries me, or makes me constantly miserable. It's not worth it.
So perhaps Crescent Point may not be the right investment for you?
Have you made at least a small profit perhaps, at least with dividends?
If so, maybe it's time to sell, shrug it off, be happy with a small profit, and then your cash sit for a while, until something better comes along, that better matches your investment style/comfort levels.
As for BNN, I find they have a lot of great experts/guests.
BNN seems to me, to be a million times better than other business networks out there (for example I find BNN is much better than CNBC!)
I've actually made thousands of dollars in extra wealth thanks to info I got from BNN experts.
BUT: VERY IMPORTANTLY: I ignore most of the information I get from BNN, as it does not match my investing comfort level/style/strategy.
I would say 95 percent of the info I get from BNN simply doesn't apply to my investing strategy/style/comfort level, and I would be very uncomfortable putting my money into most of those expert recommendations.
But about 5 percent of it applies to me, and is helpful to me.
