The difference between a historical ocean of gold and a recently discovered zone is- well, the history itself.

Brucejack is an unkown territory with no historical drilling.

Your method of evaluating Production costs is flawed. There are numerous other factors.

Goldcorp, being a major gold company, has the resources and money to be able to high grade whatever mine they see fit.

An advanced stage exploration company with a market cap under 1 bilion cant really tear through all their ore to keep cash flow up, its only one mine.
