RE:RE:RE:Polaris announces 2013 fourth quarter and year end results
Sales are priced at the point of delivery to the customer. So, aggregates delivered to the customer at the quarry will have a lower price than aggregates delivered in SFO since the SFO deliveries include the shipping cost - makes unit sales price comparisons difficult. I am not aware of an industry price.
Good conference call:
Volumes up a minimum of 20% in 2014, although the winter quarter will be slow as usual
The permitted capacity of the quarry (6.6 million tons) is expected to be reached "fairly soon" i.e. average of 1.5 million tons per quarter in a couple of years?
PLS is now in the position to reject low price offers i.e. it is able to select higher priced sales
Expect material unit sales price increases
Unit costs are going down fast as a consequence of higher production, efficiencies, and a lower CDN$
Looks good!
Road show in March/April - may get some new interest in the company
