Too much over-sight on all banking activities now.  If companys are all like Stans and won't pay bribes, everything else is scrupulously accounted for.

This is a much bigger problem of ethnic tensions, north/south and the power plays between China and Russian providing aid.  I must say, the Krygy's are pretty good at playing both ends, against the middle. lol  

I used to think it made sense for them to join the Russian trade union, just because it would stimulate their economy, but now, who knows?

Then of course you have the drug interests, particularly opium sellers, who want the region de-stabilized so they can cross borders unchecked.  I still pray for peace and calm and cooler heads to prevail.  

A snap vote has been called by Russia for the Crimea to join Russia and no one is going to recognize the results as valid, so we go from there.  Putin may come back to his senses and back down.  This is costing Russia a shatload of money.  Putin, IMO can only handle that for so long before his own people rebel.

All he may have wanted and what he might get, is a piece of the Crimea, so he has access to his fleet.  That and if he declares marshal law, he can make a few of his enemies in Russia suffer.  He should have known, there isn't enough support for Russia in the Ukraine, they are going toward Europe, IMO.
