Citadel Income Fund (the Trust) is a Canada-based closed-end investment trust. The Trust’s investment objectives are to provide its Unitholders with a stable stream of monthly distributions and to preserve and potentially enhance the Net Asset Value (NAV) of the Fund. The Trust invests in a diversified portfolio of securities with the focus on income generation consisting of equity securities, of principally larger capitalization companies traded on a recognized stock exchange; debt securities with a focus on yield enhancement, with a minimum of 80% of debt securities invested in investment grade debt rated BBB or higher, and income funds. The Fund's portfolio is managed by Vestcap Investment Management Inc. Artemis Investment Management Limited is the investment fund manager of the Fund.

When I spoke to them recently they were not dismissive at all - there seemed to be a genuine desire to be helpful - but I wasn't pressing them hard. I was only requesting info that would further clarify their new strategy re. div cut, preservation of capital, etc. As the annual report is due out soon they suggested that I wait for it as the report is intended to provide such clarification - and if it falls short in that regard I'll call with further questions. They seemed to think that the new tack had among it's advantages the addressing of a number of shareholder concerns 1) need to preserve capital 2) negate the need/temptation to issue warrants.
I didn't press them with respect to more aggressive ways that they might pursue shareholder value, as it seemed a given that they'd be giving this new tack a bit of time to gain traction.
