RE:RE:RE:March madness!
Seven I can’t even bother to read your whole post. I have no idea what rumours you are talking about. There have been discussions about the potential that a company could make an offer to buyout POET in the near term. That discussion has been ongoing for a very long time and the threat associated with such an event is the reason why they need to update the Shareholder Rights Plan. Logically that potential increases as they increase the interaction with various companies within the industry. So I assume you are going to contact Chris Chu and ask him if the company has been approached for a buyout. Do you really think he would be able to answer that question ether way? First of all he should have no knowledge of whether or not any buyout has been made or will be made since this would be in violation of the exchanges policy on “Maintaining the Confidentiality of Material Information”. Strictly speaking the only people who should be aware of this is the CEO and the BoD. The trading activity in POET is extremely normal for the news that has been publicly announced over the last month. There would be no reason for Market Surveillance to force POET to comment on any rumours because the trading behaviour is perfectly normal. In the last news release March 3 Peter made this statement: We have a relentless focus on securing our intellectual property and in forging ties to industry, and this positions Poet Technologies in its drive to extend Moore's Law to the next level." Do you not see the connection that as they provide TDKs (the blue prints for the POET design) to their partners that they must maintain control. The very easiest way for any company to gain control of the POEP IP is to make an opportunistic offer before the company has been able to secure lockup deals. I really don’t understand how you could not see the logic in this Seven? This is a disruptive technology and companies will be strongly motivated to take over the company before market recognition is achieved. It is POET management’s worst fear and you can choose to ignore this or go on your tangent about me twisting your words or whatever you want I don’t care. You appear to be trying to deceive people over the last several weeks. Honestly I could be wrong and maybe it is just my impression but you seem to have completely switched your position on POET from one of defending anything negative about the company to talking about how long it is going to take for this company to gain traction in the market. You will notice that baggie is no longer giving you any grief. Why do you think that is?
