RE:JDprof- John Deere ProfIf you are really serious on your mower and its an old John Deere. Clean the flywheel where the magnet is and check the gap on magneto and your plug  gap. Mine will do that in winter sometimes but if you spin it faster while battery charger assist is on it. It will start and not backfire.
