bigask,    I hear your direction loudly. But,  What are the assets and the location of Spartans assets that are in this T.O. or merger. RPL'S assets, cash and debt are available for all to see. I think  Front Four would have liked RPL to either remain an independent company , merged  with a similar company with assets, or be taken out by a larger player in the Canadian  oil / gas game.  I like many other investors in RPL want to get the most possible return for RPL I know  if I and other investors ask these type of questions and not get clearer answers this merger will still go through and we will have . 56 of a  SPARTAN RPL share  AT the end of March 2014 
But , I am not sure this deal with Spartan is the best way to go    Gregory
