Artis Real Estate Investment Trust is an unincorporated closed-end REIT based in Canada. Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. The industrial properties account for most of the portfolio, followed by the office properties and the retail properties.

Beat up REITs

I've been adding to my poor beat up REITs for the last couple of weeks. Valuations were getting high and we needed a sector pull back to rein in the run. I think we're looking at some good upside through the year. Lots of economic instability out there, and when the markets get flaky, I LOVE REITs. Unit prices may go down, but that just means cheaper units on the DRIP. Portfolio builds, and when the prices correct up, I win! I think we are just turning up out of the trough.
