I have a relative who does film work involving raglan and baffin mining interests.....the raglan mine has permafrost down a few thousand feet...well below mining operations......i thought that mindblowing. it means there's a few different considerations in keeping the face cold etc but i dont' think its a big deal....they imply its safer rock but we are talking about underground stope and drift tunneling methods.
