Ricafort gets Aquino's uncle to help

Ricafort gets Aquino's uncle to helpSavy move if true but also smacks of desperation by a group that can't win in court.

https://manilastandardtoday.com/2014/03/06/more-relatives/

"The involvement of St. Augustine was probably what prompted the US delegation that paid a visit to Malacanang to bring up the issue of the involvement of Aquino’s relatives in what is really an internal corporate dispute that has already been settled in the courts. What is not known is how Aquino responded to the allegations to the Americans, or what he has done since then to rein in his meddling kin.

I had already written about the Nadecor case in a previous column, where I also mentioned that Ricafort had enlisted the services of the presidential uncle. A letter published in this newspaper in response to that piece from Ricafort’s camp said basically that the anti-Calalang faction had no need to have anyone close to Aquino working for their losing cause.

Well, it looks like the Ricafort faction in Nadecor needed more help than they thought they already had, its denials notwithstanding. So it decided to bring in the big guns.

I described the involvement of the presidential uncle in the battle for control of Nadecor “embarrassing” for Aquino. Now that yet another relative of his has been linked to the dispute – something that has not escaped the attention of foreign investors and their government representatives – things have gotten a lot more embarrassing for the President."
