Torstar seems to be on a roll. Since reporting better than expected Q4 results, the stock has started moving up. On March 17, John Zechner names it as his Top Pick on BNN. On March 20, Fairfax announces it has bought another 2.3 million shares, taking its stake in the company to 22%. Then last night on BNN, another portfolio manager, Patrick Horan, also names Torstar as his Top Pick for the year.

All sounds good. Whats next? Look for Fairfax's Prem Watsa to highlight Torstar at his annual meeting April 8. Prem Watsa is a famous value investor and usually discusses his investments in some detail at his annual meeting. Read: Globe article on Fairfax AGM
