Black Donald Graphite Co. Ltd. Calabogie, Ontario.Recently at an auction I purchased an old tin of Flake Graphite and investigated the history of this company. This company had a graphite mine in the Renfrew County and existed from 1895 to 1954 with about 90% of Canadian output (they claim). The old mine is now flooded but the Joshua Gold Resources Company has claims of the surrounding land.
When I opened the tine I found it is still more than half full with glistening flakes.
They recommend adding 5 to 10% to oil for lubricating purposes.
