This frequently happens here with no price run up....

Pushing the ask is not a good way to accumulate a lot of shares at the lowest possible price. And in this particular case, if those 600k shares are "fake liquidity", they're taking a pretty huge risk that they'll end up with 660k shares they don't really want considering: 1. Average 30 day trading volume is over 1 million shares per day. 2. There is only 100k shares standing between them and getting some or all of their 660k "fake" bid filled.
