Southern Pacific Resource Corp. is a Canada-based company, which is engaged in the thermal production of heavy oil in Senlac, Saskatchewan on a property known as STP-Senlac, and thermal production of bitumen on a property located in the Athabasca region of Alberta known as STP-McKay, as well as exploration for and development of in-situ oil sands in the Athabasca region of Alberta. Its STP-McKay property consists of oil sands leases totaling approximately 37,760 acres. The Company’s operations also include Anzac, Hangingstone and Ells. The Company’s STP-McKay property is located approximately 45 kilometers northwest Ft. McMurray. The Anzac project covers approximately 117 kilometers of two-dimensional (2D) seismic. The Company owns 80% interest in Hangingstone project. The Ells project covers approximately 164 kilometers of two-dimensional (2D) seismic.

RE:RE:RE:TD --Right to an opinion This talk of buyout is something I find hard to agree with.After all the tough times this company was (is ) experiencing,buyouts are usually on the sidelines.Think about it in a very simplistic angle......a couple of weeks ago everyone thought  STP was on its deathbed and now everything is rosy ??A few weeks later?? And now its a buyout target?? I can puke in my coffee reading this nonsense.Buyouts usually occur AFTER a company has de-risked itself.And in STP's case that may be a while.I'm not saying it wont happen...just saying not at this time.
First things first lads,let STP get back into the spotlight with some consistant good news...then  takeout talk wont matter will it?.For the record  TCK.B and LNR were to be taken over  in the  08-09 years,according to the experts at that time...I AM STILL WAITING  :-)
