RE:I see now, Magnum has some weird anti Sprott thing going on Last I read, Sprott's Top 10 mining/energy investments include just two junior PM stocks: Pretium and Sabina. And yes, Rule was pumping PVG bigtime awhile back, saying if the bulk sample results were as good as expected, he "would be all over Pretium like white on rice".
Regardless of what you think of Rule or Sprott, they are big market movers and it pays to watch what they are saying and doing. Since people like Rule make most of their money through private placements, though, and don't telegraph their moves to the market, my guess is he already had a substantial position before he started to talk about it publicly.
One thing Rule has been spot on about is the increasing volatility we are starting to see, which will alternately "elate or terrify" longs, depending on their investing timeframe. I'm using this pullback to solidify my core position, after which I will begin to acquire some trading shares. You can either piss and moan about the short term price movements or take advantage of them. I don't think Rule & Sprott became billionaires by doing the former.
