RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Freeport to spend $25 million on Timok Exploration for 2014The milestones have long lead times and they are what Freeport needs to do in order to get the mine up and running anyway. Here are the details JV I was told from Reservoir a while back. Freeport is way ahead of what they needed to spend for the JV and they had 10 years to get to a BFS. They did point out that Serbian law only allows 7 years to get to a BFS which was a plus for them. I doubt Reservoir has the upper hand in the JV since they were a tiny company when they signed it. It just makes sense that (here's the good news) if Freeport does believe this is going to be a mine that negotiating with Serbia and Reservoir now about how it will work financially makes sense. Once that is done they can know with certainty what the ROI will be. Why spend another 25 million this year if the Serbian's want too much. Better to negotiate now before the porphyry is known. We still need to keep this in perspective this is a small mine to Freeport at this time even with the assumed porphyry. I know someone is going to jump on that last statement but it is true. I know there have been quotes that this discovery could be as large as the Bor mine. Yes that is true but they were referencing the current mine which I think has less than 6 years of life left.
