Some thoughts regarding CommerceThe last post was interesting as my understanding is that the analysis being referenced from December (by Stephen Bogner) was apparently entirely arm's length. I spoke to Chris about the piece and he informed me that it was undertaken completely without their involvement. He indicated that he became aware of it prior to publication, but that the company had nothing to do with its initiation.
Rockstone is a German Research entity and interestingly enough it makes for a very interesting lead into the next item I found of interest - checkout Rohstoffallianz, the Euro Zone's answer to a critical commodity stockpile (see
https://www.rohstoffallianz/en/ ) This organization now encompasses many of Europe's largest companies, including many of the large automobile manufacturers (REE consumers). Having a Euro research piece that espouses the virtues of Commerce so clearly cannot be a bad thing, with a group like Rohstoffallianz based there and having a clear need for product very much in line with Commerce. They would make an excellent partner and / or suitor.
There are other very positive things happening in the markets with respect to companies being required to declare their adherence to fair trade/ fair source components and manufacturing. I understand that the company has actually had discussions with G.E. for instance on that front - don't know what will come of it, but it tells me that Commerce is on the radar of the REE community.
I am just getting started again on Commerce, as it has been a while, but I like where the company appears to be going and what the projects appear to offer.
