RE:Price Manipulation/Capping

RE:Price Manipulation/Cappingmy guess is they put in both the cap ask and the cap bid.
its computers that play the spread.
they know retail traders will sell to the cap bid and buy the cap ask.
what moves the caps is the POG for now and the computer can adjust instantly.
to what the volume is buying and selling at.

what will take the caps off is when the volume of retail selling and buying keeps dropping due to funds picking off shares and strong hands buying at the cap ask and not selling even when POG falls. so less and less retail own the shares as the shares have all been picked off by strong hands usualy funds.
the stock will make big moves when the volume drops, the computers leave and then a fund buys a large chunk. then computers come back as they see retail wants to play again.

some stocks have zero volume and are really just following the bigger volume stocks in the same sector, strategy.

imo,
strategy will be key in 2014 above all else and we will see very different results for each stock even though they start 2014 with around the same value.
