RE:One Trick Pony

RE:One Trick PonyYou're right Bioniche got f'd by the goverment. Nobody would build a VMC if they were not specifically told that Econiche would be implemented. Past conference calls regarding Econiche were not if it would be implemented but when. They bet the farm on Econiche and now it has come back to bite them.

As far as the company being a shot in the dark, I do not think that is the case. They have a successful phase 3a trial completed. Obvoiusly this trial data was enough for Endo to partner up and fund a phase 3b trial. The problem was that the trial was flawed before it started, they could not get patients to participate in the trial, not that Urocidin did not have potential. Endo bailed because their attempt at a trial failed and they did not know how to run a trial that would fit within their overall business plan. The current path Bioniche management is taking, if successful will open up the Canadian market to Urocidin. Don't forget that they have still MCC as well which can lead to the development of treatment options for other types of cancer.
