VANCOUVER, April 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Eco Oro Minerals Corp. ("Eco Oro" or the "Company") (TSX: EOM) announces that, further to the Company's news releases of April 1, 2014 and April 2, 2014, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible or "MADS") conveyed to the Company that the map posted on the MADS website on April 2, 2014 should not be used to assess the impact of the Santurbán Páramo on the Company's Angostura Project and that only the official coordinates should be used for this purpose. The Ministry of Mines and Energy also expressed that view to Eco Oro. MADS indicated that the coordinates of the Santurbán Páramo would be made available in the coming days.

What a farce by the Columbian Gov’t.

There’s hope that this will all work out in our favor—just a hope, which is a position I don’t like to be in!

For MADS to publish coordinate points or a digital file of the boundary would open them up to a lot of scrutiny and questions:  why does the boundary decend to 3,000 m in EMO's area, but goes higher than 3,600 m in CBJ's area -- almost outlining (in negative) their mineralized areas.

Even though the April 2 map is supposed to represent the "final determination", I doubt they will publish anything else in the short term.
