Thank you for posting.  Similar shifts have happened to many early stage companies.

If WPX is bought out over the next year or two (quite likely) one way for Rio Tinto or anyone else to get management co-operation would be to pay $2 a share or some other price and also create a spinco to be left with shareholders.  Spinco would get $10m in cash and the Manitoba property.

This is what Primero did to get buy in from Brigus shareholders a few months ago
