RE:Bank of Canada holds paltry $140 million in gold reserves.. The question might be?, whom did Canada and Britian sell their gold to?, more likely a western allied country or IMF, We will never know.
Canada is a rich resource country. It has a commodity sensitive currency. In times of reflation this benifits the resource sector and miners, in times of deflation the dollar must be weak as 80% of Canadian trade is with America This will not change in my view
Its central bank cannot be plundered!. All of Canada resource wealth is stuck in the ground. Basically, a strategic move, IMO.
