RE:RE:RE:RE:Going private

RE:RE:RE:RE:Going privateI think the best case scenario is that a bid is made for all of the units of the trust at a fair value and big premium to current trading prices.

I don't believe that the Preferreds are worth zero. Granted I may be biased because I own some and very recently sold my remaining Trust Units.

The Prefs were issued before the Income Trust structure was set up which I believe is relavant. Also, if I remember correctly, from the proposed settlement from last year there was some indication that if the company was sold the face value of the pref shares would be paid out. So I can't see the Prefs getting nothing when all is said and done.  I believe that there is still a legal battle intended to settle what exactly are the rights of the Pref holders. I think an individual holder is trying to fight to maintain the right to face value and accrued dividends.

The recent trading in the units is interesting. Might be that some are anticipating an announcement before the AGM? I think it might be premature. Things tend to move pretty slow when it comes to this company.
