Although the situation is calmer in Kurdistan, it is ruled by primarily one family and is on the road to an autocracy. This will result in destability over time as people get tired of an autocratic rule. There is also no way either Iraq or Turkey will allow for an independent Kurdistan in the next 10 years at minimim.
