Now that we have Pete on board, perhaps he could tell us why we should not worry about environmental considerations re: Palmer

Google Earth shows the river to be absolutely magnificent, with eagles and salmon in abundance.  Are we to presume that mining could be somewhat benign in environmental impact owing to the fact that the processing would take place in Japan?
