RE:A simple (too much?) explanation?

Yellow is by far my largest holding, which is why it bothers me when an announed enhancement to a website is lackluster, or doesn't even work in some cases, it bothers me.
As for the contradiction of my comments....
a) Do you actually find the landing page of yp.ca compelling, containing content that will interest a broad selection of visitors enough so they spend time on the site? I'd be genuinely interested to hear what you find compelling about it.
b) I've tried this on two machines and 3 browsers (Chrome/IE/FF) now, same result everywhere:
When I go here:
https://www.yellowpages.ca/deals-promos/5/Vancouver+BC/49.25106/-123.11767
...and then hit "Browse Categories" in the upper left, nothing happens.
Does the "Browse Categories" button work for you?
c) Again, on: https://www.yellowpages.ca/deals-promos/5/Vancouver+BC/49.25106/-123.11767
I see this: https://i.imgur.com/0kLOVnR.png
The search box now shows Toronto, but the other location box shows Vancouver (which is where I'm located). Under what scenario would this be preferable, or be considered a "best practice" from a UI design perspective?
I'm certainly not trying to bash the stock - the better the product is, the better the stock will do long term. Sticking your head in the sand and telling yourself everything is perfect when it isn't, is not a recipe for success.
Why when I go here:
https://www.yellowpages.ca/deals-promos/5/Vancouver+BC/49.25106/-123.11767
...and then hit "Browse Categories" in the upper left, does nothing happen?
