Shenanigans. There were absolutely no details about their plan divulged during that call. You must have been on a completely different webcast than I was. Half the call was spent discussing the purchase, the other half on questions about the purchase - with a few minutes at most about PTA's outlook. They were VERY vague about what's coming up for PTA. Nothing definitive. No specific details. But that doesn't bother me, because the call wasn't about PTA's plan - it was about their dilutive purchase of SRN.
Some folks don't. When the market "likes" PTA better in a year or so, I'll be a seller and move on to other stocks (hopefully with fundamentals half as good as PTA) that the market doesn't like. It's called value investing. Those like Crotch who want stocks the market "likes" should find some nice over-valued momentum plays or maybe check back in 6 months.
Value investing? LOL. I'm just doing my best to call out the cheerleaders. Those that think this will be $1 before the end of the year are on crack, and not the best quality crack either. Heck, even you were barely brazen enough to nudge your target north of 40 cents, so if anything, you merely rationalise my opinion.
Don't discount the market's opinion of a stock - it's right 100% of the time.
