RE:RE:Tech opportunity

RE:RE:Tech opportunityPeople leave companies all over the world every day for all kinds of reasons.

They resign, they get layed off, the get fired, their jobs are outsourced or off-shored, they follow an old boss they worked well with to a new job, they decide they've had enough and want to take a trip around the world, they start their own businesses, and, unfortunately, they sometimes also become gravely ill or a family member ends up in need of intensive, continuous care for an undetermined period of time.

Should a company issue an NR every time this happens and explain in detail what the circumstances leading to someone's departure are? Is that where Facebook culture has brought us? A bunch of needy voyeurs who can't go without their fix?

What makes Brad Bardua so special that Avigilon's stock price should get chopped by 40-45% and that everyone should start to speculate about there being something gravely wrong with the company or its CEO (soulless? please!)?

Agreed, the timing of the announcement was lousy and he was the CFO, but the reaction to it, given the results reported for Q1, which were a continuation of what investors have gotten to expect from this company, has been completely irrational.

What's obvious is that some people are hellbent on taking advantage of the situation and on profiting from other people's fears and negative feelings about the situation. And aybe that's soulless.
