stock split & future?

stock split & future?Be careful for what you wish...!  After the split in 2011, the stock price did very little for 2 years ....basically traded on either side of 10$ a couple of dollars with marginal momentum.  Don't assume that the appreciation of the past 2 years will be repeated with a stock split. I question whether it is wise to pursue a split given the market is not reacting favourably to the recent positive quarter results.  My  inclination is that the stock price drop is a quick read that the market is not happy with the split proposal.  Also, if management uses the lower split stock value to float new issues, don't be expecting your share value to do much in the near future.  Thoughts?
