It's why I almost feel like the best way for someone who doesn't know anything about stocks to invest is to just do the opposite of what the guys on BNN are saying. If all of them say it's great, they all have it as their top picks, that's usually a good time to sell. When they're all saying that the company has had some problems, so they sold (at the high, when they were telling you it was their top pick) that's when you can start looking at buying. Obviously someone should put more thought into it than that, but I think a lot of people would be better off with that strategy than to buy the 'top picks' of all those analysts.
